ABOUT US

Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is a national key university directly administrated by the Ministry of Education of China and sponsored by Project 211 and Project 985. In September 2017, after approval by the State Council, DUT was selected into the university of the “Double First-Class” Initiative, category A, and in February 2022, DUT was approved as one of the "Double First-Class" universities of the second round.

Panjin Campus was jointly established by DUT and Panjin City, Liaoning Province. As an important part of the "One university, Two cities and Three campuses" layout of DUT, the campus was built by following the educational policy of the "High starting point, new model, internationalization and cooperative construction". At present, the campus covers a land area of 563,000 square meters. We are a family with 326 faculty members, including 4 national talent title winners, 33 senior titles and 96 associate senior titles.

A. Six-year fixed-term Professor

Job Requirements

(1) We invite outstanding applicants from academia with recognized achievements, international academic vision, capabilities for innovation and high potential to become principal investigators in the field.

(2) The applicants are preferably under age 42.

(3) The appointee shall set clear goals for the performance appraisal during the term of the contract (Please contact the department contact persons for more detailed evaluation standards at the end of the webpage).

Salary and Start-up package

(1) 500,000 Yuan RMB (about $69,000) pre-tax annual salary (not including academic bonus).

(2) 1008,000 Yuan RMB (about $139,000) of housing allowance (tax-exempt, including Panjin living allowance* from the government).

(3) 1,200,000 Yuan RMB (about $167,000) or 600,000 Yuan RMB (about $82,000) start-up funding.

(4) Funding for hiring six postdoctoral researchers.

(5) Fully furnished flat and amenities.

B. Six-year fixed-term Associate Professor

Job requirements

(1) The successful candidate will be expected to have influential research achievements in relevant fields, great potential for scientific innovation and breakthrough; and the applicants are preferably under age 37.

(2) The appointee shall set clear goals for the performance appraisal during the term of the contract (Please contact the department contact persons for more detailed evaluation standards at the end of the webpage).

Salary and Start-up package

(1) 450,000 Yuan RMB (about $62,000) pre-tax annual salary (not including academic bonus).

(2) 808,000 Yuan RMB (about $111,600) of housing allowance (tax-exempt, including Panjin living allowance* from the government).

(3) 800,000 Yuan RMB (about $111,000) or 400,000 Yuan RMB (about $55,000) start-up funding.

(4) Funding for hiring six postdoctoral researchers.

(5) Fully furnished flat (available for 1 year lease) and amenities.

C. Six-year fixed-term Assistant Professor

Job requirements

(1) The successful candidate will be expected to have a relevant PhD degree, influential research achievements and a clear plan for future research.

(2) The applicants are preferably under age 34.

(3) The appointee shall set clear goals for the performance appraisal during the 3-year contract (Please contact the department contact persons for more detailed evaluation standards at the end of the webpage).

Remunerations and Benefits

(1) 300,000 Yuan RMB (about $41,000) pre-tax annual salary (not including research bonus and team performance bonus).

(2) 608,000 Yuan RMB (about $84,000) of housing allowance (tax-exempt, including Panjin living allowance* from the government).

(3) 300,000 Yuan RMB (about $41,355) or 150,000 Yuan RMB (about $20,678) start-up funding.
