Dr. Xiang Wang is a professor of heterogeneous catalysis at Chemical Engineering School, Dalian University of Technology (DUT). His research interests are CO2 Utilization, DeNOx, Polymer Upcycling, Photocatalysis, State-of-the-art Operando Spectroscopy, Kinetics, Reaction Mechanism.
He received his Ph.D. degree from Dalian Institute of Physical Chemistry (DICP) under supervision of Prof. Can Li in 2013, then he moved to the US joining Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) as a post-doc working on catalytic CO2 concersion and operando spectroscopy. Three years later, after his short stay at Northwestern University in 2017, he joined Cummins in the US as a Senior Engineer. He was in charge of Global VI project to develop new catalysts to meet the national VI regulations for global markets. After successfully implementing this project at Cummins, he accepted a position of Staff Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), US in 2019. He as a PI worked on ORNL's LDRD and DOE's BES catalysis projects. In 2021 He came back to China and launched Wang Group at Chemical Engineering School, Dalian University of Technology.
Wang group has openings for post-doc and visiting scholars all year round, please contact xiangwang@dlut.edu.cn
