Profile

Dixiong Yang is a Professor of Engineering Mechanics and Structural Engineering at Dalian University of Technology, China. In 2004, he received the Ph.D. degree in mechanics from Dalian University of Technology. His research interests involve the seismic design and vibration-reduction of engineering structures, structural optimization, deep learning, random vibration and reliability analysis. Prof. Yang achieved the second-class award of National Science and Technology Progress Prize in 2017, and the first-class award of Natural Science Prize for Ministry of Education in 2013. He  have published over 100 peer-reviewed journal papers and 3 books. Prof. Yang is the deputy editor of the third edition of engineering mechanics branch for civil engineering discipline of Encyclopedia of China, and a member of the random vibration committee of Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering, the International Society of Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization, and the International Association of Computational Mechanics.
