On the afternoon of May 22, Chen Jie, vice minister of the Ministry of Education, came to DUT for research and guidance. Xiang Changle, secretary of the CPC DUT Committee, Jia Peng, deputy director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, Wang Qingdong, secretary of the CPC Group and director of the Department of Education of Liaoning Province, Zhao Gang, member of the CPC Group and deputy director of the Bureau of Education of Dalian City, Li Chengen, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and vice president of DUT, Luo Zhongxuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC DUT Committeeandvice president of DUT, and Kang Xudong, principal of DUT participated in the research and exchange.

Chen Jie visited the DUT’s high-quality development achievements exhibition and the National Key laboratory of high-performance precision manufacturing, received the DUT's work reports on talent training, scientific and technological innovation, and education opening up in recent years, and gave in-depth guidance.

Chen Jie affirmed the achievements made by the DUT in recent years, and said that the opening up of high-level education is an important path for the construction of a education power. In the current context,he stressed the need to align proactively with the goals of becoming a highly influential global educational center and building world-class universities. Also, he highlighted the importance of balancing openness with security, advancing high-quality international cooperation in running universities and make greater contribution to national and regional development.

Xiang Changle thanked the Ministry of Education for its care and guidance all along, and he stated that the university places great importance on its efforts in international openness, and will carry out multi-level foreign cooperation and exchanges in various aspects such as teacher construction, scientific research and personnel training. In the future, DUT will continue to thoroughly implement the relevant requirements, promote the high-quality development of a first-class university with a high level of opening up, and make contributions to the construction of a powerful education country.
